Consumer Information
The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), requires colleges and universities to provide information to enrolled and prospective students to assist them in making informed decisions about higher education.
In accordance with the HEOA, Ï㽶´«Ã½ provides the information below to assist enrolled and prospective students, their families, faculty, staff, visitors and the public in accessing information about higher education, and in making informed consumer choices.
The information below applies to all three Ï㽶´«Ã½ campuses located in Hickory and Asheville, North Carolina, and Columbia, South Carolina.

Cohort Default Rate
A cohort default rate represents the proportion of borrowers from a school who begin repayment on specific Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program or William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program loans within a specific federal fiscal year (FY), running from October 1 to September 30. These borrowers’ default or fulfill other predetermined conditions before the conclusion of the subsequent fiscal year. Voter Registration
The Higher Education Act Reauthorization of 1998 requires colleges and universities to provide voter registration information to students enrolled in a degree or certificate program and physically in attendance at the school.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Funding and Student Grants
- Lenoir-Rhyne has signed and returned the Recipient’s Funding Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students, and we have used the funds to provide the mandated amount of at least 50 percent of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grants to students.
- The total amount of funds that the institution has received under the HEERF student portion is $970,545.
- Of those funds, the total amount that has been distributed to students as of the date of reporting is $970,615.
- The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under , as amended (HEA), and therefore eligible to receive an emergency grant is 1,881.
- The total number of students who have received an emergency grant is 1,881.
- The university used EFC bands and enrollment status to determine which students received emergency grants and how much funding they received.

CARES Act Funding Quarterly Reports
Lenoir-Rhyne has received the student award portion of the HEERF III ARP Act Funds
- We have been awarded the amount of $2,848,374 of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) grants to students.
- The total amount of funds that the institution has received under the HEERF student portion is $2,730,050.
- Of these funds, the total amount that has been distributed to students as of the date of reporting is $2,730,050.
- The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Supplemental Agreement: (a)(1) Student Aid Portion (CFDA 84.425E), and therefore eligible to receive an emergency grant is 2,254.
- The total number of students who have received an emergency grant is 2,254.
- The university used expected family contribution (EFC) bands and enrollment status to determine which students received emergency grants and how much funding they received.
