Learning Outside the Classroom
International business majors must complete an extensive part of the program through appropriate study abroad in approved business curriculum.
One of the exciting opportunities for this major is the requirement to have at least one-third of your major coursework earned through experiential learning that can be explored through transnational business internships, global business study tours, study abroad and/or further immersion studies in multicultural, language or international business. These opportunities add to the content learned in your coursework, which serves as the foundation for the experiential opportunities.
In addition, international business majors have the many opportunities of other business majors to learn outside of the classroom through internships with local and regional businesses, corporations, and non-profit organizations.
You gain firsthand experience working alongside experienced leaders and professionals in a wide range of business activities. Majors have access to the many out-of-class opportunities in business, including conference attendance, student organizations, alumni mentoring, and community outreach and research (working within a course or independently with a faculty mentor).

Career Opportunities
Career possibilities are numerous, and an increasing number of businesses have foreign affiliations providing opportunities in manufacturing, finance and banking, sales and marketing, civil service, insurance and public policy.
International business leaders and managers are the compelling public faces of these companies. They act with business, global acumen and knowledge and cultural sensitivity to facilitate transactions that benefit both parties.
In every sub-field of business—management, marketing, finance, accounting, and so forth—international opportunities exist for qualified business majors. The addition of a strong foundation in a non-native language along with the cultural immersion of study abroad experiences furnishes with valuable career preparation.
Since I started my education at Lenoir-Rhyne in summer 2018, I have been given many opportunities to expand my knowledge and experiences to help me grow.
Accreditation
Lenoir-Rhyne is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The B.A. in International Business is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
